This was an experimental shot with the Sigma 150 - 600mm F/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports Lens and the Moon just happened to be the test subject.
The lens is a weighty little beast that certainly does not lend itself to being easy handheld use, but works beautifully on a suitable and sturdy tripod.
At 600mm, as used for this shot of the moon, even using a tripod there is still some substantial movement when viewing through the viewfinder and the shot itself was quite a challenge to maintain a stable image, but I think the end result is not too shabby for a first attempt.
I am looking forward to using the lens some more and I will be sure to post some more shots as they present themselves.
Take care and stay safe...
