Fresh and Frosty

It would appear that we are experiencing a bit of a cold snap.

So despite the fact that the current Covid lockdown is keeping us all in our homes, there are plenty of opportunities for some garden photography.

Getting up close and personal with the frosty plants and foliage on a cold, crisp frosty morning can certainly yield some interesting opportunities for some macro photography. Whilst the roses are long past their best and most of the final buds never really got to show their splendour and are now doomed to wither away and die, they do provide a perfect place for the hoar frost to get a grip and perform a final dance.

Nothing is safe from the ravages of the hard frost, which will certainly take its toll on the remaining foliage. Even the grandchildren’s long forgotten toys, do not escape the ravages of the cold frost.

The fruit tree’s, now long stripped of its foliage, provide a network of long thin branches for the frost to provide a spectacular little display. The climbing roses also provide a wonderful symmetrical surface, beautifully edged with frost.

Incidentally, all of the above shots, were taken with my iPhone 12 Pro Max in ProRAW mode and edited/post-processed with Lightroom Mobile.
