Architectural Photography is often thought of as simply covering the photography of buildings, but there is much more to it than that.

As well as capturing an accurate representation of both the design and external representation of the building itself the photograph must be aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
A photographer also needs to be able to effectively use perspective to capture the beauty of the buildings themselves and give the viewer the feeling of actually being there in person.

As well as capturing the aesthetics of the exterior of the building, it is equally important to capture the interiors of the building to captivate how the architectural design has been carried through to the interior of the building.
As with all photography, the correct use of light, either natural or artificial is extremely important.
Lighting will have the greatest imact and lead the viewer into how the architect envisioned the various aspects of their design.

Looking for unusual viewpoints and having people in your shots can also give an accurate representation of the scales and purpose of the building and the addition of staff and customers can make all the difference for many businesses.
